A couple of cowboys

Travis loves Toy Story so much and is favorite character is Woodie the Cowboy. Last night he wanted to take Woodie outside to play. He also wore his cowboy hat. It was about 190 degrees outside (!) but we took a walk with Woodie. I used my Retro Camera App on my phone to take these pictures. Love the way they turned out. Love my little cowboy!

Albster's camping trip 2011

We took Travis camping for the first time with our neighbors the Alban's (hence Albsters, we were pretty excited when we thought of that one!). We went to Ramblin Pines which was only an hour away from our house. The Albans had an air contioned camper that we were able to stay in. Thank god because the heat index was about 120 degrees this weekend. We were able to beat the heat and had a great time.

We got down there around 7 pm and my neighbor's parents were already down there. They have an amazing camper that they keep there year round and go up to the campground on the weekends. We spent the first night eating hot dogs and hamburgers and meeting new friends on the campground.

The next morning Travis and I were up nice and early (surprise surprise ;)) We explored the campground which was pretty cool. There was a playground, pool, mini golf course, game room, gym, lake, and a huge jumping pillow (too hot though it was off for the weekend).

This was not a slide. LOL! It was part of the mini golf course.
Later that day we checked out the pool and game room. The pool was nice and had a huge mushroom water fountain. The game room had some games but I think Steve enjoyed it more then Travis.

That night we checked out the goats that were on the campground. They were so cute. Travis wanted to pet them so bad but I really could not remember if goats were friendly or not? I don't know they seemed super friendly but we kept our distance.

There was also a big pirate ship by the goats that we climbed on.

That night a bunch of people at the campground had a huge mexican food night.
The food was awesome and the company was great!!! We had a wonderful time camping and I want to start taking Travis more often. There was so much for him to do there and I know there are so many differnt campgrounds in the MD and PA area. This was a great first experience ;)

I'll leave you with this picture of Travis waiting for us to pack up:

Boy stuff

Ok so I am the only girl in my family. Even the dog is male and I am pretty sure the fish is too. I need to start enjoying 'boy' stuff. Like ball games and camping and fishing. I don't to be left out ;)

We went to another O's game last night. Travis lasted 8 out of 9 innings and then very politely told us "I go home and go in Trav's bed." Ok buddy thanks for asking so nicely. The entire time he was worried about what the Oriole Bird was doing...was he dancing? was he going night night? It was so cute.

Fun night! It was pretty spur of the moment too. We are rebels.

I enjoy.....

-Travis saying "oh my gosh" and then telling a story....he's done it twice and both times I had to stifle a laugh

-Extremely hot walks in the summer. I no longer take a stroller. Travis half walks and half skips HALF the way. I hold him the other half....but my arms are getting buff. HA!

-A clean house..although mine rarely is....

-Junky reality TV. Basically the Real Housewives of NY.

-When other people hysterical laugh. I laugh too even if I don't know what is funny.

-The 'please' 'thank yous' and 'i'm sorry's' from Travis. He thanks people for things that happened hours ago. Example my father in law was vacumming the pool the other day before we swam. Hours later Travis went over to him and said 'Thanks for cleaning pool Pop-Pop' on his own....he is a nice person.

-SUMMER!! I am going to be so sad when it is over.

Anywayzzzz Happy Tuesday!!

Also I love comments. I've noticed I have had a ton of page views but not a ton of comments! Let me know if you are out there!!!

Weekend in Review: Nothing to do but we were busy!

3 posts in one day. I know insane!! But I've gots to catch up so my sister can read this even though she lived it.

This past weekend was supposed to be boring but I was actually busy. I started off by Krazy Kouponing (yes I used K's because if I was a Kardashian sister that is how I would spell it). I went grocery shopping and saved $64! I also bought so much random stuff but the point is $64 SAVED! YAY!!

Saturday we had a wedding. At 2pm which was Travis nap time that day so he was pretty much miserable and I was sweating profusely from holding him the entire time. I decided to take him home half way through. He fell asleep within 30 secs of being in the car. Aunt Mandy and Uncle Matt came over and watched him sleep while I went back to the wedding. Thanks Mandy!! After the wedding a bunch of Steve's cousins came over and hung out. We ended up having a fun evening and Travis was alot more pleasant when he woke up!

Sunday Travis and I washed the dog, played with the hose and filled the water table up with bubbles. FUN!

That evening we went to Wild Duck for dinner on the water. So cool there. Even a little beach for the kids to play.....

Great weekend!! And no more post today.....:)

Proud!

I am so proud of Travis. He is swimming on his own (with the help of swimmys and a life vest)! So much better then his clawing up Steve and I! Steve is the best dad ever for teaching him.

GO TRAV GO!!!!

Fourth of July Weekend

I am so far behind on blogging :( But we have been so busy lately. I wanted to post about 4th of July because we had such a great weekend.

We went to the pool with my family all morning Saturday. I took Travis home around 3 so he could get a good nap in. We were going to a boat to see the fireworks!! I get so sea sick but I stuck it out and did ok. Travis, well he had the time of his life. He loved the boat ride and kept screaming "WOOK WOOK I ON BOAT!"  He also loved watching the fireworks on the water. He was so funny because after everyone said "ooohhhhh!" he would say "da claw!" Anyone who has seen Toy Story (Trav all time #1 favorite movie) knows that is what the aliens say. Steve and I were cracking up!

Mommy and Travis on the boat.

Daddy and Travis relaxing.

Sunday was filled with multiple parties too! First stop PA for our friends cookout. Travis and I ventured up by ourselves while Steve went crabbing with his uncle. Next up was our neighbors Jess's parents cookout. It was amazing. I have never seen so many people at a house party. Her parents have an awesome house on the water and put on a great fireworks show. It even had patriotic music playing in tune with the fireworks.

Here is Trav and I waiting for the show to start.

Monday was July 4th. We got up at the crack of dawn to see the 4th of July Parade in Dundalk. It was so much fun. Travis loved all the firetrucks and police cars!

Watching the parade.

All the girls! We were a little sweating. We walked about 40 mins just to get to the parade.

And then was Travis for about 3 hours after the parade!

The rest of the day we just relaxed. I had off Tuesday too. We ended up just shopping and then swimming.

I think 4th of July is becoming my favorite holiday.
