Travis went Pee-Pee in the Potty!!!

I don't think he's ever seen me so excited!!

I made up a Pee-Pee song...."Pee-Pee in the POTTTYYY!!!! Pee-Pee in the POTTTYYYYY!!!!!!

And he jumped on my bed while I sang...over and over again :)

I am a proud mama!

Daddy was really proud too!

And Travis went up to Jake and said "I pee-pee in potty, little pup!!"

I think Jake was also proud!!

Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of diapers....fingers crossed......

Weekend in Review: A Potty and A Party

This weekend started off on a bad foot. It took me 3 yes 3 hours to get home from work on Friday. I was so annoyed to be stuck in traffic and even more annoyed because I really had to use the bathroom. When I finally made it home I put on my sweatpants and told Steve I was not leaving the couch. So we ordered pizza and let Travis eat his pizza while watching Yogi Bear AKA the dumbest movie ever. It turned out to be a fun movie night.

I was determined to put Travis on the potty as often as I could. He really does not mind sitting on it he just does not get the whole idea of "going" on the potty. (Warning there is going to be alot of potty pictures in this post). Friday night he sat and sat and read and colored and sat on the potty.

Saturday we had nothing to do. This amazing scenario has not happened in forever. I decided I was going to return some items at the Ave and take Travis along. My mom decided to go with me. Then my dad said he was going. Then Steve wanted to go. So we all went. The Ave was having a Corvette show going on. Travis thought Lighting McQueen from Cars was everywhere. My dad and Trav even got to sit in one.

After the Ave we came home and Travis and I made cupcakes for Jake the dogs birthday. I've been talking up Jake's bday and Travis keeps informing me that Jake would like a "slinky dog" Happy birthday cake. We settled for Funfetti cupcakes instead. Travis was a great helper. I accidently dropped an egg on the floor while trying to crack it into the bowl. While I was cleaning it up I came back and saw this in the mixing bowl:

Yummy!

I guess Travis decided to add his own egg. Shells and all. We had fun baking together and I am going to start including him in more cooking/baking experiments. He is always so antsy when I am making dinner. So maybe letting him help will make it easier.

Stir Stir
Travis also was all about having two cups so he could do this all night:

Not weird at all......
And we  sat on the potty in between baking some cupcakes!

Sunday we were having people over for the Raven's game. We also went to see my neighbors dance at the Watersedge Festival in Dundalk. The girls were so cute at the show!  After there we came home and Travis played with his cousin Madison who was over. Poor Maddie ran right into my glass door on the deck. No idea what happened. I mean I did clean the glass but I didn't think it was that clean! Poor girl had a bump on her head and a bloody lip! We also celebrated Jake's bday. I don't have a picture but Jake sat there very nicely while we sang to him. And then he ate the cupcake it one bite. Travis like them too:

Everyone left and back to the potty Travis went......still with no luck. Hey atleast we tried!

Again...not weird at all......
Happy Monday!!!!!!!! <---I wrote this on Monday but didn't post until Tuesday because my pictures would not upload.

Now that's the spirit!

Ugghhh I am not looking forward to winter.

The long cold days

Dark at 5pm

COATS!!! GLOVES! HATS!!! GROSSSSS!

So in an attempt not to be too depressed my next door neighbor and I decorated for Halloween. Over a month early.

Travis says the house looks SCAR-DEE!

Steve said I need more decorations. I am thinking cobwebs on the bushes. I know I am really going all out ;)

Mandy and I went to get Travis costume yesterday. He was scared in the Halloween store. There were zombie and vampires everywhere. He didn't say anything in the store but as soon as we got outside he said "Hurry go to Mommy's car! HALLOWEEN is coming" and hauled ass to my car.

I do love the weather right now. We played outside today.

I think it is Jan-March I am dreading.

Weekend in Review: Nonstop FUN!

Wow! This weekend was busy! I don't think I sat down for more then 10 mins besides sleeping. But as always we had tons of fun.

I came home from work on Friday and Steve suggested we go to the Ave for dinner since he wanted something from AC Moore. We took some stale bread with us and stopped to feed the ducks and the goats on the way to the Ave. The ducks were so "friendly" aka scary and surronding us. They knew we had food! Travis thought they were adorable and this one little ducky just stayed right next to him the entire time. The goats were the same way but atleast they were in a fence. I didn't feel quite as nervous. There was one ugly turkey looking thing, Travis kept calling it a gooble gooble. HA!

This was the extra friendly one that followed Travis around

After the ducks we headed to the Ave only to see a life size "Puss in Boots" from Shrek. Ummmm ok so random. And there was also a josting competition in the middle of the Ave. It was all very weird and there were about 2 people watching but Travis enjoyed the big cat.

We ended up eating at Don Pablo's. YUM! And we threw some pennies in the fountain for good luck!

Afterwards we went to Old Navy and Travis totally lived up to his terrible twos status. He was one of "those" kids....in and out of the racks, running away screaming, totally ridic! Steve and I both had a stern talking with him there. Yeah that did not work. We had to leave fast. And what did we do to show him we were serious about him behaving right? Why we bought him a toy there of course. Not sure what type of parenting technique we were using but I know we both felt bad about being mean to him. I know he did not want to be in Old Navy shopping so we probably should of just skipped the store completely. So Travis acted like an jerk...but he got a Lighting McQueen lunch box. Travis =1 Mom and Dad=0....Maybe next time we will win ;)

Saturday morning Travis and I got up early and went to Dutch Wonderland with the inlaws plus my mom. The kids had BLAST!!! Travis loves all the rides and cried when each one was over.

According to the girls this made their "tummy tickle!"

Highlight of his day!

Today we had about 20 people over again for the Ravens game. Tons of food and cheering! The girls went up to Essex Day for a little bit. Nothing much up there but I did get a Halloween sign for out front. I am now fully decorated on the outside of the house. Just have to get my inside stuff up. Kiersten came over all day. Her and Travis are so great together. They play so good and she has a very good imagination. He goes right along with her stories and ideas. I felt like I did not even see them all day long because they were off playing. Running in and out of the house. Love that.

I am so sad that summer is over but I do love Halloween. This year I am sure will be the best yet!
I am so ready for bed. Travis seems wide awake. Hoping bed time comes quick because I am beat!

Well Hello There!!!

Geesh I suck at blogging lately. My internet wasn't working for awhile and I had a sick baby and well I am just plain tired most nights. But the internet is back up and running and I am going to play catch up.

I promised more vacation recap but the more I think about it, we really didn't do much else. We had a day of swimming and our last day was in Magic Kingdom. We spent the whole day getting pictures with characters. We drove home and it was pretty uneventful until we went to 9 gas stations that were all out of gas thanks to hurricane Irene. Luckily I have onstar and they saved the day and took us to the scariest gas station I have ever been to in my life. But they had gas so whatevs, we are still alive.

Labor day weekend I did not leave my house or my sweatpants. Travis had pink eye so we stayed in and he got better and I got organized. The next week it rained and rained and rained all week. So yeah that sucked. But last weekend was pretty fun. We started off with a surprise bday cake for uncle matt. It was an oreo cheesecake icecream cake with fudge and oreo crust and it was the most delicious thing ever invented in the greater Essex area. OMG we had so much our bellies hurt so bad. Travis is becoming the expert Happy Birthday singer, he sings with this deep man fake voice. Hysterical.

Saturday I went to visit my co-worker in PA. Travis was on his extra special best behavior and made a great first impression. Cathy has a little cutie dog named Tucker and Travis had an immediate new friend.

Saturday night we went out to celebrate Matt's bday again. This time it was at Carson's Creekside. Matt's band was playing and I apparently had a GREAT time. After a whole bottle of wine who wouldn't. Geesh let's not talk about it anymore.

Sunday we had about 18 people over to watch the Raven's game. The guys put the TV on the deck and everyone yelled and screamed really loud and the Raven's WON! AGAINST THE STEELERS! GO EAGLES!! Wait I mean GO RAVENS!!! Travis keeps saying GO EAGLES!!! It's weird because he is terrified of eagles and wakes up in the middle of the night telling me eagles are going to get him. But now he tells me they are nice. I can't keep up.

Today this happened:

And it as totally cute and Travis got his mower all by himself and was really intense about helping Steve and copying his EVERY move.

Travis is talking so much now it is CRAY-ZEEE! I mean he called me a 'cutie with a booty' the other day. Hmmm wonder who taught him that one???

Also we have taken a liking to drinking out of shot glasses. Yup that's how we roll around here.

Anyways, I'm going to try and keep up with blogging from here on out. Lots of exciting stuff coming up! Happy Tuesday!!!

Reality

We are home. BOO! I still have one more post to do. I will get around to it this weekend. I have a sick little baby that got pink eye and a cold from Mickey Mouse. Going back to the dr today and hoping to get some meds so we can enjoy labor day weekend.
