Wittle Bites

Last night Travis was playing nicely in his room while I was cleaning upstairs.

He dropped everything and came over to me and said he wanted "Woodie Bits?"

 Honestly I had no idea what he was talking about. I could not understand him at all. He kept repeating it over and over.

So he took my hand and guided me downstairs to the kitchen.

Once we got in there he pointed to the candy jar of Peanut Butter Egg shaped M&M's left over from Easter.

 "Woodie Bits!" "Woodie Bits!!" nooooo.... it was actaully "Little Bites!" "Little Bites."

The other day when he shoved three in his mouth I kept yelling "Little BITES!" "LITTLE BITES!" In an effort to not have him choke. I think he thought the candy was called "Little Bites."

And I guess I should point out 'L' and 'R' sounds like 'W'

Summer I missed you!!!

The weather went from winter to summer in a matter of days and we are loving it!!! Yesterday we had a cookout and played outside all night. Travis had so much fun until the end when he had a complete meltdown. That's what no nap will do to ya!!

My sister was over and commented on Travis' messy hands while he was eating. For some reason he really got offended! He would not look at her and was trying so hard not to cry. It was so funny to me. I guess he really understands us now. :)

Anyways looking forward to alot more summer cookouts and nights sitting on the deck!!

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter. Started off by going to see the Easter Bunny on saturday. Travis has been asking me to go see him. We got to the mall and he screamed when it was his turn to sit on the bunnies lap. Oh well. The rest of the day he kept telling me "OH NO Twav cry with Easter Bunny." LOL!!

Sunday we started off by going to my inlaws to open presents and play. Came home and napped and then went to my parents. Travis is spoiled and got alot of Buzz and Woodies. :)

Steve and I were able to go on two dates in 3 days :) Weds night we went to the O's game. We got free birthday tickets. They can't even give the seats away there :( We had so much fun though!! Friday I had tickets to the game but it was raining and cold. We were hoping the game would be cancelled but since we had already paid for the tickets we decided to still go. We headed down to Bo Brooks for dinner. We had a great meal and a fun time talking. The game ended up being cancelled so we just went and picked up Travis. Great start to the weekend!

Ugly Face

Travis does this crazy face that we call "the ugly face." He has been ugly facing since he was about one. We actually have the first ugly face recorded on video. In the video he give the ugly face to the camera and my sister says "What is that face?" Travis will now ugly face on cue. Here is the ugly face....and me looking hysterical.

Travis loves Jake ......Jake tolerates Travis. I love them both...:)

Momma and "Steve"

Today Travis called his dad "Steve" all day long. Sometimes he called him "Daddy Steve." The thing that I loved the most is that Travis knew that this was funny. I love the fact that he has a sense of humor. Alot of times he will say things and then say "I kidding." :)

Lather,Rinse, Repeat....

The work week can get pretty repetitive.  We had warm weather on Monday which is always awesome. But now its rainy and chilly again.

In other news there is an insane bird that builds a nest daily above our front door. I have knocked it down atleast four times. The bird can build a nest like nobodies business and he can do it in an hour. He gets all sorts of weird stuff to build with. The other day there was a plastic bag hanging from the nest. It almost hit me in the head when I walked out the door.

Lastly here is Travis trying to look into an old telescope picture (sorry they are phone pics) .  We showed him how to look but he kept sticking it in his nose??? I wont be checking out the ocean city picture in there from 2002 for awhile ;)

Birthday Party Saturday

Travis sometimes has a busier social calendar then me. Yesterday he was invited to Emma's second birthday at My Gym. Since the closest My Gym is about 40 mins away, this was our first experience. You could tell my child has never been to a circle time since he couldn't understand the concept of sitting still for 3 minutes ;) Oh well! We had a great time until they brought out one of those huge multi colored parachutes and made a huge fort out of it. Travis was scared of the fort so I got in thinking he would follow. Instead he stood there with his hand covering his eyes, yelling "Oh NO! My Momma!!" The rest of the party he was attached to me, scared I would enter the evil fort and never come out.

After My Gym we went to a dairy farm that made homemade icecream to sing Happy Birthday to Emma. Hands down best ice cream I've had. I got chocolate cake batter. Emma's mom is super creative and made all the kids monkey placemats and had monkey cups with their name on them. Every drink since the party is requested in a monkey cup ;)

I loved this!

We were supposed to go to a carnival that evening but Travis took a nap and there was no way I was waking him up. So we hung out at home and ate pizza and watch Toy Story for the 57th time. And that was ok with me.

Picnic with the Girls

My 4  nieces are so adorable. I had to pick the 3 youngest up from the bus stop yesterday for my sister in law. We played outside for a good hour. Then they decided that we should have a picnic. Little girls have the best ideas!!! So we grabbed a blanket and some junk food. The menu was graham cracker, pretzels, (possibly expired) valentines day fruit snacks and juice boxes. 







 

GO EWWWS!!!

Yesterday was opening day for the Baltimore Orioles. Doesn't Travis look super cute in his O's gear?

We kept telling Travis to say "GO O's!" but it came out "GO EWWWS!" So basically he just sounded like he had a super thick Baltimore accent.

It was almost 85 degrees out so we played outside all day. Later we walked over to Mandy and Matt's. Matt made us steamed shrimp for dinner. Can't wait for it to feel like summer all the time!

Lunch break

I am currently reading Sam's Letters to Jenifer by James Patterson. Such a good book.....the only downfall of a good book is I can't get anything done at home if I have a good book that I know needs reading.  So I leave my books at work for lunch time.
My husband packed my lunch today and let me a love note on my napkin. So cute and fun! I am going to do this for Travis until he is way too embarrassed and asks me to stop.

Yay! I finally made a blog. I am going to attempt to keep this updated. I think it will be a great way to keep a journal of Travis growing up. I can't believe almost two years have past. Ok well I am going to try and post this and see how it works and I hope to be back later......But first let's try a picture.
