Albster's camping trip 2011

We took Travis camping for the first time with our neighbors the Alban's (hence Albsters, we were pretty excited when we thought of that one!). We went to Ramblin Pines which was only an hour away from our house. The Albans had an air contioned camper that we were able to stay in. Thank god because the heat index was about 120 degrees this weekend. We were able to beat the heat and had a great time.

We got down there around 7 pm and my neighbor's parents were already down there. They have an amazing camper that they keep there year round and go up to the campground on the weekends. We spent the first night eating hot dogs and hamburgers and meeting new friends on the campground.

The next morning Travis and I were up nice and early (surprise surprise ;)) We explored the campground which was pretty cool. There was a playground, pool, mini golf course, game room, gym, lake, and a huge jumping pillow (too hot though it was off for the weekend).

This was not a slide. LOL! It was part of the mini golf course.
Later that day we checked out the pool and game room. The pool was nice and had a huge mushroom water fountain. The game room had some games but I think Steve enjoyed it more then Travis.

That night we checked out the goats that were on the campground. They were so cute. Travis wanted to pet them so bad but I really could not remember if goats were friendly or not? I don't know they seemed super friendly but we kept our distance.

There was also a big pirate ship by the goats that we climbed on.

That night a bunch of people at the campground had a huge mexican food night.
The food was awesome and the company was great!!! We had a wonderful time camping and I want to start taking Travis more often. There was so much for him to do there and I know there are so many differnt campgrounds in the MD and PA area. This was a great first experience ;)

I'll leave you with this picture of Travis waiting for us to pack up:

  1. My sister and her kids always loved camping at Frontier Town downy ocean. They have water slides and a big pool and evidently always have something going on every night.

So glad you had such a great time!
